Dear partners, in accordance with the Decree of the President of the Republic of Uzbekistan № PP–4937 dated December 28, 2020 "On measures to implement the investment program of the Republic of Uzbekistan for 2021–2023", "National Electric Grid of Uzbekistan" JSC is implementing a number of investment projects under the financing of the Asian Development Bank, the World Bank Group and the European Bank for Reconstruction and Development.
The Government of Uzbekistan has been undertaking major reforms in the power sector. Sector oversight functions have been consolidated under the Ministry of Energy (MoE) that was established in February 2019. A subsequent decision was made in March 2019 to unbundle Uzbekenergo into separate Generation (“Thermal Power Plants” JSC), Transmission (“NEG Uz” JSC), and Distribution (“Regional Distribution Network” JSC) companies.
The Deputy Chairman of the Board for Transformation, Digitalization and Information technologies (DСTD) serves as a member of the Senior Executive Team of NEG Uz providing strategic and executional guidance to various spheres of the company.
