Procurement of 35 kV, 220 kV and 110 kV GIS and power cables for “Yuksak” 220/110 kV substation

1.The Republic of Uzbekistan has received a loan from the International Bank for Reconstruction and Development (IBRD) in various currencies towards the cost of Modernization and upgrade of transmission substations Project. It is intended that part of the proceeds of this loan will be applied to eligible payments under the contract for Procurement of 35 kV, 220 kV and 110 kV GIS and power cables for “Yuksak” 220/110 kV substation.

2. The JSC “National Electric Grid of Uzbekistan” now invites sealed bids from eligible bidders for the construction and completion of: 1. Design, Supply, Delivery, Installation, Testing & Commissioning of a complete new indoor type 35 kV GIS switchgears and power cables in substation “Yuksak”; 2. Design, Supply, Delivery, Installation, Testing & Commissioning of a complete new indoor type 220 kV and 110 kV GIS and Power Cables. (“the Facilities”). International competitive bidding will conducted in accordance with the Bank's Single-Stage Bidding Procedure.

3. Interested eligible bidders may obtain further information from and inspect the bidding documents at the office of PIU “Modernization and upgrade of transmission substation” at Osiyo street, 42. Floor/ Room number 311. Tel: +99871 236 68 64.

4. A complete set of bidding documents in English and/or Russian may be received by interested bidders upon submission of request indicating the company name and contact person to the above e-mail. The document will be sent to the email indicated by Bidders in the application.

5. The provisions in the Instructions to Bidders and in the General Conditions of Contract are the provisions of the Bank Standard Bidding Documents:  Procurement of Plant (Design, Supply, and Installation).

6. Bids must be delivered to JSC “National Electric Grid of Uzbekistan” at Osiyo Street, 42. Room number 301 on or before 11:00 Tashkent time on January 11, 2022 and must be accompanied by a bid security of USD 150,000.00.

In case of electronic bid submission, the Bidders shall send their encrypted bids to the secure bid email address pmumuts7@gmail.com by January 11, 2022, 11:00 Tashkent time and must indicate the ICB reference number in the subject. The specific bid opening procedures shall be as indicated in bidding documents.

7. Bids will be opened in the presence of bidders’ representatives who choose to attend at 11:00 Tashkent time on January 11, 2022 at JSC “National Electric Grid of Uzbekistan” at Osiyo Street, 42. Room number 301.
