In accordance with the Presidential Decree of the Republic of Uzbekistan No. PP-363 dated November 9, 2023, "On Measures for the Implementation of the Investment Project 'Modernization and Reconstruction of Main Power Transmission Networks'," “Uzbekistan: Digitize To Decarbonize- Power Transmission Grid Enhancement Project" is being implemented.

This project is being carried out by JSC "National Electric Grid of Uzbekistan" with the financial support from the Asian Development Bank (ADB) and is aimed at modernizing the country's energy infrastructure, improving its efficiency, and ensuring the sustainability of energy supply.

As part of the project, it is planned to replace 12 power transmission lines with voltages of 220 and 110 kV in 6 regions with new ones, increase the capacity of 4 substations, and conduct their modernization and reconstruction.
