Information on the Publication of the Consolidated Financial Statements of JSC “National Electric Grid of Uzbekistan” for the First Half of 2025, Prepared in Accordance with IFRS Requirements by the Department of Financial Reporting under International Standards
In order to ensure the implementation of the Presidential Decree of the Republic of Uzbekistan No. PP–4611 dated February 24, 2020, “On Additional Measures for Transition to International Financial Reporting Standards,” extensive work is being carried out at JSC “National Electric Grid of Uzbekistan.”
Based on the Presidential Decree of the Republic of Uzbekistan No. PP–282 “On Measures to Improve the Financial Reporting System in Accordance with International Requirements and Standards,” large enterprises, including our Company, are actively implementing practical measures to prepare financial statements in accordance with international standards.
In particular, as a result of the large-scale efforts led by the Chairman of the Management Board of JSC “National Electric Grid of Uzbekistan,” Mr. Dadajon Isakulov, one of the world’s “Big Four” audit and consulting firms — Ernst & Young LLC — issued positive audit opinions on the Company’s financial statements for the years 2020–2024.
In cooperation with the Ministry of Economy and Finance and UzAssets, and with the aim of further improving the preparation of financial statements based on international standards at large organizations, including our Company, as well as enhancing risk analysis and management systems, budgeting, tax accounting policy, and bookkeeping, the financial statements for the first half of 2025 were prepared with practical recommendations, proposals, and support from consultants of PWC LLC, a member of the Big Four.
The publication of the consolidated financial statements of JSC “National Electric Grid of Uzbekistan” for the first half of 2025, prepared in accordance with the International Financial Reporting Standards (IFRS), represents one of the key steps aimed at increasing the investment attractiveness of our enterprise.
In this regard, within the rapidly developing New Uzbekistan, the energy sector is taking confident steps toward a promising future by expanding the adoption and wide implementation of international standards in areas such as ratings and ESG indicators, as well as promoting the development of the green economy through sustainable financial management practices.
