
Information about the investment project to connect a combined-cycle power plant under construction with a capacity of 1500-1600 MW in the Angor district of the Surkhandarya region to the 500-220 kV power grid.

Project scope:
• Installation of a 500 kV single-circuit bay on the 500 kV outdoor switchgear of the Surkhan substation and commissioning of the 500 kV outdoor switchgear expansion project, along with complete relay and protective panels.
• Construction of a 26 km, 500 kV transmission line from the 500 kV Surkhan substation to the Angor combined-cycle power plant.
• Construction of a 2 x 9 km, 500 kV Surkhan-Puli-Khumri transmission line to the 500 kV outdoor switchgear of the Angor combined-cycle power plant.
• Construction of a 4 x 9 km, 220 kV L-Naibobad-1 and L-Naibobad-2 transmission line to the 500 kV outdoor switchgear of the Angor combined-cycle power plant.
Project location: Surkhandarya region, Zharkurgan and Angor districts.
Project financing: From industry funds.
Project implementation period: Until the end of 2026.
Work completed:
A contract has been signed with the design institute, JSC Sredaenergosetproekt.
The sections where the power lines will be constructed have been identified, and the routing plan has been agreed upon and approved by the relevant organizations.
The technical specifications for the power line construction have been approved.
The company implementing the project is conducting topographic surveys on the section where the power lines will be located.
