Construction of a 220 kV overhead power line in Tashkent Region

Brief information about the project: "Construction of a 220 kV overhead power line between the Tashkent Thermal Power Plant and the Keles Substation in Tashkent Region."

Project implementation basis: Decree of the President of the Republic of Uzbekistan No. PF-139 dated September 11, 2024. Also based on the Decree of the Cabinet of Ministers of the Republic of Uzbekistan on the modernization of the power system of Tashkent City and Tashkent Region, construction of new facilities to ensure a stable power supply to the population, enterprises, and business entities.

Project capacity: 30 km of 220 kV overhead power line.

Project location: Tashkent Region, Tashkent District.

Project cost and funding sources: Industry funds.

Project implementation period: 2024-2026.

Project activities: Construction of a fourth 220 kV transmission line from the Tashkent Thermal Power Plant to the Keles substation, covering a length of 30 km.

Work performed: 84 pins, 83 foundations, and 82 supports were installed by Special Construction of Electric Grids Joint-Stock Company, laying 22.59 km of wires; the route of the section passing through the Tashkent Ring Road was changed, and 23 supports were installed; disconnectors and a SF6 circuit breaker were installed at the 220 kV substation of the Tashkent Thermal Power Plant.
