Modernization and upgrade of transmission substations in the scope of the ESTART Project. The Republic of Uzbekistan has received financing from the World Bank toward the cost of the Electricity Sector Transformation and Resilient Transmission (ESTART) Project, and intends to apply part of the proceeds toward payments under the consulting services.
In accordance with the Decree of the President of the Republic of Uzbekistan dated December 30, 2021 PP-72 "On approval of the Investment Program of the Republic of Uzbekistan for 2022-2026 and the introduction of new approaches and mechanisms for managing investment projects", JSC "National Electric Grids of Uzbekistan" in 2022 implemented 8 investment projects totaling 1,128.8 million dollars with the participation of funds from international financial institutions.
The Republic of Uzbekistan has applied for financing from the World Bank toward the cost of the Electricity Sector Transformation and Resilient Transmission (ESTART) Project, and intends to apply part of the proceeds toward payments under the Contracts for Construction of new 500 kV substation “Koltsevaya”.
The JSC “National Electric Grid of Uzbekistan” has received a loan from the World Bank toward the cost of “Modernization and upgrade of transmission substations” and it intends to apply part of the proceeds of this loan to payments for procurement of autotransformers and power transformers within the framework of the above-mentioned project.

The Ministry of Finance of the Republic of Uzbekistan has received credits from the World Bank, and a loan and grant from the Green Climate Fund toward the cost of Electricity Sector Transformation and Resilient Transmission Project, and it intends to apply part of the proceeds of this credit to payments under the agreement(s) resulting from this IFB: RFB/SCADA/2021.
The joint stock company «National Electric Grid of Uzbekistan» (later “NEGU”) has received financing in the amount of US$ 115,000,000 equivalent from the World Bank toward the cost of the SCADA/EMS/RTU/Telecommunications and Fiber Optic Cables, and it intends to apply part of the proceeds to payments for installation of information systems and goods, works, non-consulting services and consulting services to be procured under this project.
The Republic of Uzbekistan has applied for financing from the World Bank toward the cost of the Electricity Sector Transformation and Resilient Transmission (ESTART) Project, and intends to apply part of the proceeds toward payments under the Contracts for Construction of transmission lines 500KV (L=72 km) and 220 KV (L=213 km).
