The Republic of Uzbekistan has received the World Bank credit and loan in the amount of USD 150 million toward the cost of the project “Modernization and Upgrade of Transmission Substations Project (MUTSP) and intends to apply part of the proceeds for the selection of consultant “expert to support management of of JSC “National Electric Grid of Uzbekistan” (transmission company)”.

1. Republic of Uzbekistan has received financing from the Asian Development Bank (ADB) towards the cost of the Northwest Region Transmission Line Project. Part of this financing will be used for payments under the contracts named above. Bidding is open to Bidders from eligible source countries of ADB.

Dear partners, in accordance with the Decree of the President of the Republic of Uzbekistan № PP–4937 dated December 28, 2020 "On measures to implement the investment program of the Republic of Uzbekistan for 2021–2023", "National Electric Grid of Uzbekistan" JSC is implementing a number of investment projects under the financing of the Asian Development Bank, the World Bank Group and the European Bank for Reconstruction and Development.
The Government of Uzbekistan has been undertaking major reforms in the power sector. Sector oversight functions have been consolidated under the Ministry of Energy (MoE) that was established in February 2019. A subsequent decision was made in March 2019 to unbundle Uzbekenergo into separate Generation (“Thermal Power Plants” JSC), Transmission (“NEG Uz” JSC), and Distribution (“Regional Distribution Network” JSC) companies.
The Deputy Chairman of the Board for Transformation, Digitalization and Information technologies (DСTD) serves as a member of the Senior Executive Team of NEG Uz providing strategic and executional guidance to various spheres of the company. The DCTD is ultimately responsible for guiding the digital transformation of the enterprise and investment portfolio along with the members of their team.

The JSC “National Electric Grid of Uzbekistan” has received a loan from the World Bank toward the cost of “Modernization and upgrade of transmission substations” project and it intends to apply part of the proceeds of this loan to payments for procurement of Line Coupling Fittings and Insulators within the framework of the above-mentioned project.
